Cotton bedding care
Cotton bedding may be sturdy, but it still requires the right care to make it last as long as possible. We recommend that you wash your sheets every week or every two weeks. With our soft, smooth cotton bedding and crisp, cool cotton bedding, you'll find them getting softer and softer with every wash.
Keep cotton bedding separate from other clothing as any rough fabric, hooks or zippers can cause it to get snagged
If needed, use a small amount of mild detergent and fabric softener
We recommend gentle washing at 40°C or 30°C as this will help extend the life of your bedding and is more sustainable than washing at 50°C
Tumble dry cotton bedding on medium-low heat and iron on medium heat
Try taking your sheets out of the dryer 5 minutes before the end of the cycle and hanging them to dry until done to prevent them from wrinkling
Linen Bedding Care
100% high-quality linen, durable and durable. The fact is, the longer you sleep on linen sheets, the softer they become, but that doesn't mean they don't need a little love and attention. Here are our top tips for linen bedding.
Wash sheets every 1-2 weeks
Wash at 40℃ or 30℃
Tumble dry on low heat, as excessive heat can damage the threads and cause linens to become rough and itchy.
Iron on medium-low heat
Do not use fabric conditioner - this will weaken the natural fibers of the yarn
Remove from dryer while still a little damp and place directly on bed to finish drying and prevent wrinkling (or line dry for a crisper surface)
Wool Bedding Care
Wool is a wonderful fiber that is naturally hypoallergenic and hygienic as it resists the growth of dust mites and microorganisms. Therefore, your wool duvets and pillows won't need to be washed as often. The fewer times you wash it, the better the wool fiber performs. Instead, use these tips to ventilate your woolen items:
Dry duvets and pillows regularly in a well-ventilated room to keep them fresh
You can do this every time you change your sheets or every few weeks
If the weather is dry, hang the duvet outside, but if the weather is dry, place it on a drying rack or top of a door or chair near an open window for a few hours
Down bedding care
Products that are naturally rich in down, such as duvets or pillows, can be fragile. Excessive washing can damage the fabric's lint-proof properties and the surface finish will degrade over time. It will also cause the fabric to shrink too much. Fortunately, they don't need to be washed as often as they are naturally breathable and very mildew-resistant.
When you do need to wash your duvet or pillow, follow these simple steps:
Use shorter wash cycles and minimal agitation
Wash at 30℃-40℃ using non-biological detergent to protect down tufts and premium cotton covers
Remove as much water as possible by spinning at high speed or using a separate spinner/centrifuge
Tumble dry at low temperature for a long time to ensure all down tufts are fully dry and re-lofted to restore their thermal properties
Continue drying until dry to the touch (all moisture in the core must evaporate)
Note: The duvet must have enough room to completely refold in the dryer drum, so there must be at least 60% space for the item to refold during the drying cycle. You may need to use a professional laundry service to purchase a large enough washer and tumble dryer. Natural down comforters can also be dry cleaned (using all solvents except PCE).
