A good quilt is natural and soft, non-irritating to the skin, with no odor, no pollution, no bleaching, no additives, good hygroscopicity, good thermal performance, good air permeability, and no static electricity. Cotton fiber is a natural fiber. The main component is cellulose, and there are a small amount of waxy substances, nitrogenous substances, and pectin. It contacts people's skin and makes people feel soft and comfortable.
How to choose a quilt
Regarding the choice of the quilt, I believe everyone has their own way.
(1) Observe the color of the cotton. The normal new cotton should be slightly light yellow, and especially white cotton should have been bleached, and the cotton with a dull yellow color is the old cotton wool of the next year.
(2) New cotton should have a natural and fresh smell, which cannot be smelled from old cotton.
(3) Pure cotton burns immediately when exposed to fire, the burning speed is very fast, and it emits yellow flame and slightly off-white smoke. After blowing out the flame, sparks still linger. Taste; similar to the smell of burning paper, the residue is fine and soft gray-black floc.
Applicable people: the elderly and other healthy people, not suitable for pregnant women, cardiopulmonary patients, children, etc. Because the weight of the quilt is heavier than other quilts, it is not suitable for all people.
The quilt is an essential partner when we sleep. Under the premise of a healthy life, its antibacterial and antibacterial properties have become an important indicator when choosing a quilt. The materials of wool quilts and duvets naturally have antibacterial properties. Many manufacturers have added antibacterial fibers to cotton quilts to improve the antibacterial and antibacterial properties of the quilts.
Mites on the quilt
A quilt without drying for three months will really breed 6 million mites. This sentence is not alarmist. Inspectors from the Dermatology Department of the Second Hospital of Chengdu conducted an experiment, which proved that there were mites in the quilts that were not dried for half a year; the number of mites would increase significantly in the quilts that were not dried for three months. Although the test data did not reach 6 million, the number of 1.32 million mites is scary enough.
Mites are tiny pests that are not easy to see with the naked eye. They are the medium of skin infectious diseases, such as chronic urticaria, chronic asthma, and chronic allergic rhinitis, 95% of which are caused by mites. It likes to live in a warm and humid environment, so to eliminate mites, it must provide two sharp tools: ventilation and light.
It is best to dry the quilt in the sun for more than two consecutive days. When drying, the front and back of the quilt should be dried alternately, so that the quilt can be thoroughly dried and the mites can be killed.
After getting up in the morning, it is best not to fold the quilt immediately, turn over the side that is in contact with the body, spread it on the bed, and then open the windows at home to ventilate and reduce the humidity of the quilt.
On cloudy days or when the weather is cold, it is not convenient to go out to dry the quilt. We can use the electric heater or electric blanket at home to heat and dry the quilt so that the mites cannot survive in the wet season.
During sleep, the human body will automatically excrete sweat. The sweat absorption of the quilt determines the quality of our sleep. Everyone has the feeling of sweating after catching a cold. The sweat in the body cannot be completely absorbed and discharged by the quilt, so you feel sweaty and uncomfortable. , and can't sleep well.
Therefore, the moisture absorption and perspiration of the quilt are also very critical.
