Polyester cotton refers to a general term for a blend of polyester and cotton fabrics, woven from 65% -67% polyester and 33% -35% cotton blended yarn, commonly known as "dacron". Polyester cotton is divided into plain and twill weave. Plain polyester cotton fabric has a thin and thin surface, excellent strength and wear resistance, minimal shrinkage, and is not easily deformed. It is also affordable and has good durability, but its comfort and fit are not as good as pure cotton. In addition, due to the difficulty of dyeing polyester, polyester cotton fabrics are mostly light and light colored, making this type of home textile more suitable for use in spring and summer. Twill polyester cotton usually has a higher density than plain weave, making it appear dense and thick, with a better surface gloss and feel than plain weave.
Yarn dyed pure cotton is a type of pure cotton fabric that is woven from warp and weft yarns of different colors. Due to dyeing before weaving, the dye has strong penetration and good color fastness, as well as the strong three-dimensional sense and unique style of heterochromatic yarn fabrics. The quilt is often characterized by striped patterns. It has the characteristics of pure cotton fabric, but usually has a higher shrinkage rate.
The high count and high-density jacquard pure cotton fabric has a particularly high warp and weft density, with rich variations in weaving methods. Therefore, the fabric has a thick feel, good durability, and high surface smoothness. It is mostly light colored with natural colored flowers on the bottom, which is particularly unique and elegant. It is a relatively advanced type of pure cotton fabric.
Pure cotton has a good hand feel, comfortable to use, easy to dye, rich variety of patterns, soft and warm, strong moisture absorption, washability, and low static electricity, making it a widely used material for quilts; However, cotton products are prone to wrinkling, shrinkage, poor elasticity, acid and alkali resistance, and should not be treated for a long time at high temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it is best to spray wet when ironing cotton products, which is easy to iron flat. If possible, use a steam iron to flatten the product after each use, which will result in better results.
